About Project
In this project, a new metro was designed for Ankara by finding solutions to the problems in the existing metro and adopting an innovative exterior design and a colorful interior design concept. While designing this design, it was aimed to design a metro that would accommodate as many people as possible, and to provide comfortable and effective transportation for students and passengers with suitcases.
Field Research
Interviews with 12 passengers revealed to identify needs for improvement areas.

Problem Statement
Metro systems face challenges such as insufficient luggage storage, inefficient space utilization, limited digital integration, and poor visual identity, leading to passenger discomfort, congestion, and underutilized commute time.

Our Approach
Futuristic Concept
The futuristic concept transforms public transportation with innovative, user-friendly and sustainable solutions and is a step towards making Ankara a future-ready and technological city.
Luggage Wagon
The luggage wagon features designated areas for both shapeless bags and suitcases. Passengers can place their luggage in these spaces and have the option to lean or sit comfortably.
Sustainability
The design incorporates seats made from recycled plastic, contributing to sustainability by reducing waste and promoting the use of eco-friendly materials in public transportation. This supports a greener, more responsible future.
Efficient Use of Space
The design of each wagon ensures efficient use of space, with well-organized seating and storage areas. This maximizes comfort and accessibility while accommodating the diverse needs of all passengers.
Poliray Mobile App
The Poliray app makes urban transportation fast and practical with features such as viewing timetables, finding the nearest station, planning a route, viewing wagon occupancy rates and using digital tickets.
Visual Identity
Futuristic visual identity features glowing icons, and high-contrast typography for clear and modern signage. Dynamic elements and illuminated materials enhance usability and a sleek, tech-forward aesthetic.
Working Wagon
The working wagon is designed for students and professionals. It features dedicated workspaces, allowing passengers to make the most of their time while traveling.
Accesibility
Each wagon includes a dedicated space for passengers with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and comfort.
